What is SOAR Analysis?

Soar Analysis is a template you can use to focus on your existing strenghths and develop a future vision for your upcoming goals. It’s basically a strategic planning tool which you can clarify your ambitions with.

SOAR Template helps you understand who you are as a brand and where you see yourself in the future, with who and doing specifically what. For the ones who read our article about PEST and SWOT Analysis, it will be of resemblance. Yes, they are indeed similar. Once again, you should remember that these are all frameworks for you to improve the efficiency of your thinking or strategizing processes. Therefore, it’s even possible to invent another structure by merging all of these into a brand new technique as well. Why not! Be creative.

Innovate. 😊

Limits exist only if you believe in them. Like Tinker Bell’s fairy dust. There is a limit only if you believe you perceive them. I’ll let you in on a little secret. All the great minds discovered there were none and that is how they succeeded in their own journey.

Let’s draw out our road map like we usually do in our articles. We are going to examine the components of SOAR Analysis one by one and below each title, you will find SOAR Analysis Questions of each component. You will also see the further explanation of these components below each SOAR Analysis Template Principle.

Let’s discover what we have on SOAR Analysis Template and SOAR Analysis Questions together!

1. STRENGTHS:

  • What makes you unique?
  • What are you or your organization feel proud of and cherish?
  • What is your excellence area?
  • What are your greatest accomplishments until this point?

What makes you or your organization who you are? Or who are you? Who are you presenting yourself as to the world? What is your brand image? If you were to conduct a survey with your clients as your participants, what would they say about you? Are they satisfied enough? What are they most satisfied with?

Find your Strengths, and make them Better. Make it an entire, unique culture; a “Culture of Better”.

Your Better.

2. OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Which Partnerships would lead you or your organization towards a greater, improved success?
  • Which changes in the Industry or Market is in alignment with your strengths?
  • Do you spot any threats?
  • Is there a necessity in the market your product could help satisfy or saturate?

Is there a field where your customers or clients are particularly unsatisfied with the existing product or structure that your organization is related to? Jump in. Jump in ASAP. Bucket of Gold. Go! Take it. Take this opportunity and turn it into a success!

Is there a chance of collaboration with another lead in the market? Jump in in in! There is always competition and for this reason, you have to benefit from the opportunities as best you can!

3. ASPIRATIONS:

  • Where are you going to be in the future?
  • How is your organization going to look like?
  • What is a possible way you can make a difference?
  • What is your or your organization’s Passion?

THE Question. Where do you see yourself or your organization in 5 to 10 years? I call it the Interviewee Seat Belt. But seriously, where do you think your organization is going to be in the future? Will they have realised their greatest or major vision? Will they have a new vision?

They should. Especially when everything changes in the blink of an eye. Your organization should have another vision, and another one after that to follow. There should always be a prey(aspiration) to go hunting. If there is no prey, then why should the predator bother and go all that way?

If there is no vision, it means one thing.

Inaction.

Fear Inaction because it will be the death of your organization.

4. RESULT:

  • Are you measuring the quality of your success and efficiency of your work?
  • Are you capable of achieving your visions or transforming them into metrics?
  • What is the way to know when you achieved these goals?
  • Which measures do you or your organization use to assure that the right path is being followed towards the right destination?

Don’t aspire and let it be. Follow up. Monitor your processes cautiously and sensitively. Track exactly where you are and how long it’s going to take.

What have you achieved?

That’s the question you’re looking to find an answer to.
