About
At TwoTwoFive we have a passion for trading, and a passion for passing on trading knowledge in an immersive, engaging and interactive manner.
Our collection of E-Learning, Live Online, and Academy commodity trading training courses don’t use laborious PowerPoint slides; ours feature interactive presentations and diagrams, videos, and multiple-choice Q&As to perpetually test your knowledge as you learn. Our courses give you the freedom to practice what you’ve learned too – as regardless of which one you take, you can participate first-hand in realistic trading scenarios via our matchless3 and industry-renowned digital simulator Ignite. We love to discover, inspire and mentor future traders.
All of our trainers are former traders.
By trading physical commodities, paper and options, and more for some of the biggest energy companies across the globe, our expert training team come armed with sound insights and tried & tested practices, as well as personal stories of their trading experiences (the highs and lows!), to provide a rich and deep learning experience for all.
We encourage you to play.
Anyone who’s taken part in our courses loves playing the trading simulations. You can practice immediately what you’ve learned on Ignite either individually or in teams. Depending on which course you take, these can last between 10 minutes and 1-hour per concept. You will become totally immersed and experience the physiological highs and lows of being a commodities trader: the thrill of making money…the tense, nervous, knot-in-the-stomach feeling when you’re holding a loss-making position…Should I sell now for a loss? Am I right and the market is about to turn in my favor?.
Managing your stress levels.
It has been said that war consists of long stretches of boredom punctuated by brief periods of terror – much the same can be said of trading! As traders place trades, testosterone is released into the body, adrenalin surges into the blood, and the stress steroid cortisol trickles out of the adrenal gland. As this cortisol reaches the brain, the pleasure chemical dopamine is released. Both together are hugely addictive for the brain and provide that ‘buzz’ that comes with putting on positions. However (and there is always a ‘but’…) prolonged exposure to cortisol can have a hugely detrimental impact on your health. That’s why on our Advanced and Assessed courses our HRV (Heart Rate Variability) practitioners strive to educate you in awareness, monitoring, and stress management to supply longevity and good physical health.
