Truro and Penwith College is one of the best colleges in the country, a fact recognized by Ofsted which gave us Outstanding status following our review in February 2016. We have campuses in Truro and Penzance, both offering an exceptional diversity of courses, supplying industry-standard equipment and resources, all housed in modern, goal-built facilities. Truro and Penwith College now offers a broad number of courses across many qualification types and levels, from traditionally ‘academic’ A Levels and Degrees to Apprenticeships, vocational courses and business training. The happiness of our students shows in their outcomes, which place us in the top 4% of colleges in England. Our Academies, concentrating on a range of specialisms from medical and academic to surfing and tennis, supply learners with an outlet for their abilities outside formal studies. We’ve even got two public restaurants, offering top-quality food prepared by our own cookery students. Building on the best individual traditions of both centers, the merged Truro and Penwith College has a local and areal reputation as an institution that is lively, innovative, demands high standards of its learners, but is also caring and assistance of individuals. From September 2020, Truro and Penwith College will offer the T Level qualification, a technical alternative to A-Levels, in Construction, Digital, and Education and Childcare. The College was selected by the Department for Education (DfE) in a national selection process based on evidencing the highest quality of provision in technical education and training. It is the only Cornish supplier chosen to deliver the new Technical Levels and one of only two throughout Devon and Cornwall. These qualifications will supplement existing qualifications in these syllabus fields at the College.
