South Staffordshire College
South Staffordshire College has 4 campuses across Staffordshire. We provide full-time and part-time courses and have a long history of collaborating with employers in the Midlands to introduce apprentices to the workplace in a flexible way that benefits your business. Apprenticeships are made up of 3 essential components:
- Information / Theory (Technical Certificate) – Usually delivered in college
- Practical Training (Work-based assessments – NVQ / Diploma)
- Functional Abilities (Maths, English, and sometimes IT)
All apprenticeships must last at least 12 months and you can start most apprenticeships at any time of the year.
Why choose SSC?
As a college, we are all about careers, not courses. Our specialist staff will make sure you have the abilities and information needed to give you that competitive edge for when you start your career within your selected industry. As a school leaver, you will be treated as an adult, within a friendly and supportive environment. You’ll enjoy more freedom and independence, and you’ll make many new friends, all with the same passion and journey ahead as you. As an adult, we understand you may feel uneasy about returning to education, but there is no need to be. We have smaller class sizes and supportive tutors to make you feel very welcome. With five college locations in Lichfield, Tamworth, Cannock, and Rodbaston, we supply courses to suit every learning style and help develop main employability and interpersonal abilities. We offer full-time and part-time courses, apprenticeships, short courses, and university-level courses all designed to provide the abilities you need and give you a competitive edge in the occasion market. Each year, over 10,000 learners choose us. Why? Because we are driven to inspire, empower, and widest your talent. Our easy-to-reach colleges offer amazing facilities.
