Solihull College & University Centre offers a large diversity of school leaver, university level, and adult courses across a variety of exciting subject fields. Courses are designed with the help of top employers to provide students leave ready for the workplace. Many courses are offered entirely and part-time allowing students to fit study around work and family life. The College was recently graded ‘Good’ across all areas by Ofsted.
Facilities
The College’s facilities are unmatched in the region, with recent investment in virtual reality and industry-standard science laboratories at Blossomfield Campus, along with an animal care centre housing hundreds of exotic species and a fully equipped sports center. The Centre for Advanced Aeronautical Provision featuring world class flight simulators and a former Royal Navy aircraft recently opened at Woodlands Campus, along with modern construction and motor vehicle workshops. Both campuses offer entirely equipped libraries and a Costa coffee for students to relax in between classes.
TEF Gold Rating
Solihull College & University Centre is the only College in the West Midlands to have been awarded a Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) ‘Gold’ rating for its university level provision. Evidence proved that the College had ‘outstanding input to course design and curricular content, outstanding personalized provision, high quality physical and digital resources used to enhance student learning, and an embedded institutional culture with staff working towards higher education and teaching qualifications.
