About
Eat That Frog C.I.C was founded in January 2011, by like-minded people coming together to set up a social enterprise based around People, Values, and Quality. The Directors, Ian Powell, Sean Westlake, and Gail Rochelle, continue with this mission, enabling people to identify and overcome their barriers to living a more fulfilled life. Over the past 7 years, ETF has gone from strength to strength; our provision boasts a success rate of over 96%, and we now engage with over 1000 people annually. Our bespoke educational provision for young people with special educational wants (autism, Asperger’s, mental ill-health, etc.) has also been recognized, and we now have direct contract status with the Education & Skills Funding Agency, which enables us to offer further occasions.
We are CSR – Corporate, Social, Responsible
CSR aims to help companies conduct their business in a way that is ethical, taking account of social, economic, and environmental impact. We are a Community Interest Company, so working with us means that you are helping to put back into the local economy and communities, helping raise your CSR profile. Community is at the heart of everything we do at Eat That Frog. We always aim to work in a way that creates occasions and adds value to the lives of local people. Our areas of work have enlarged, and our geographical community has grown to embrace much of South Devon – but our basic principles have remained the same; putting people, values, and quality above all else. We do this not by viewing community work as an ‘extra’, but by embedding it in all our programs. For example, the 16-19-year-olds on our catering courses prepare and serve the food for elderly customers at our Over 50s lunch club – a practical demonstration of their skill that benefits both groups! We believe in collaborative working and are keen to establish key relationships within the business world for the benefit of our learners, our community, and the companies we work with. There are many ways you can get involved and help put value back:
- Site Visits – showcase what you do, potentially inspiring a young learner to become a future employee, improving your employer brand, and demonstrating your corporate social responsibility.
- Work Experience opportunities – offer the occasions to inspire, engage and inform our clients, giving them the hands-on abilities they need to secure employment within their chosen field.
- Sponsorship – We manage numerous community projects throughout the year and there are many ways your organization can get involved; by sponsorship, or by donating your abilities, time, or expertise
- Routes into work – let us work with you to develop a recruitment drive that combines both classroom-based training with hands-on experience.
