About
Digital Peninsula Network (DPN) was founded in 1999 by a group of like-minded businesspeople working in the digital/ICT sector. DPN grew rapidly with support from SWRDA, Cornwall Council, BT, and others, delivering substantial projects funded through Objective 5b, Objective 1, and more recently Convergence ESF funding and SFA funding. To this day DPN works in partnership to deliver projects funded by the European Social Fund / Skills Funding Agency and a range of pan-European projects funded by the EU. DPN is also contracted to deliver SFA (Skills Funding Agency) mainstream-funded Apprenticeship provision on behalf of both The Learning Partnership for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and Cornwall Adult Education Service (CAES). Through these large-ranging projects, DPN supports Cornwall’s business community with its use of technology and digital skills, young people with career development and abilities, and the unemployed to gain the digital abilities they need to get back into work. DPN develops training methodologies and delivers training provisions in partnership with local businesses, supporting over 2,500 individuals to meet their potential. DPN also represents the views of businesses in the Technology / Digital sectors based in Cornwall, helping to attract funding and further support for businesses.
