Derivatives Documentation Limited (“DDL”) is a family business.  It has a wealth of expertise in OTC derivatives and repo and securities lending legal documentation. We were established in 1996 to fill a shortage of temporary ISDA Master Agreement negotiators for overstretched documentation teams. Back then DDL consultants would typically act as temporary negotiators for 3-6 months based in clients’ offices. Nowadays we usually operate offsite rather than in-house but negotiation is still our core business. The shortage of negotiators highlighted the need for effective ways to train new staff to fill this void in the marketplace. So from 1999, we developed in-house and then online training services in the areas of OTC derivatives and repo and securities lending legal documentation. Since 2011 we have offered public training courses on these subjects. Being at the heart of this expert area has kept us in touch with many highly skilled personnel and over the last 25 years we have used this information to place legal and paralegal staff in temporary and permanent occupations in our areas of expertise. Our reputation and specialist information have also led to us undertaking a large number of consultancy assignments in these areas for our clients. Eighteen of the world’s top 20 banks have taken one or more of our services over the past 25 years.
