City of Wolverhampton College is one of the broadest college’s in the area, working with more than 700 employers every year, containing a number of multi nationals. The college offers a diversity of programmes, containing apprenticeships, workplace learning and commercially unified projects, as well as employability plans for the unemployed. It is the UK’s leading training supplier in plastics and the broadest supplier of 16-18 apprenticeships in the region. The college currently works with a number of prestigious firm, containing the BBC to educate its 46 new local radio journalists, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC to train office staff and with MOOG to educate engineers – all of which were won through competitive tendering processes in direct response to training wants directly definitied by the employers concerned. In its latest Ofsted report, City of Wolverhampton College was graded as good, with inspectors applauding the college’s outstanding response to local and areal economic and community wants, noting how well staff worked with employers to improve bespoke training and supply a better talented laborforce across the areal.
