Description
We all need to communicate in our day-to-day lives. We especially need to be able to communicate down, up, beyond, and across our organizations. When we communicate effectively, we are able to directly express needs, share important information, get important information, listen to each other, and maintain and build strong relationships. Communication skills are essential.
Barnes & Conti created The Art of Communication™ to help people develop these essential communication skills so that information is able to flow within and among organizational units and key stakeholders. Participants in this program will learn and practice three areas of communication (message, style, and behaviors). They will also discover their own communication style and its impact. Cross-cultural factors will also be examined by looking at high and low-context cultures. Finally, participants will apply the communications planning model to their own current communication challenges.
