This program is designed to provide delegates with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to make more accurate and geologically correct maps using data management techniques effectively, establishing an iterative process between seismic interpretation and mapping.

One of the most challenging tasks connected to workstation generated maps is trying to produce a reliable map from widely spaced data in an area of known faults. In almost every instance, the resulting map is unacceptable without additional input from the user in the form of contours or control points.
This course is the perfect solution to these and other challenges, providing learners with clear concepts in a demonstration-heavy manner. This course covers workstation workflows and the geologic principles behind those workflows. These concepts are conveyed using basic tools, without teaching any particular industry-standard software, requiring only a working knowledge of Excel. The course is demonstration-heavy: the instructor will illustrate the various workflows presented in the course, offering an interactive exploration and dynamic visualization of the data. Participants will also have the opportunity to manipulate data in order to solidify their understanding of the principles being taught, and will leave the course with the ability to apply core knowledge to whatever software their company uses.
