Effective leaders must truly understand the needs and motivations of each unique individual they lead. This requires the ability to quickly identify an individual’s personality style and adapt one’s leadership approach to each person. This session uses the DiSC model to understand the 4 primary personality styles:

Conflict occurs whenever the concerns or desires of one person differ from those of another. When addressed effectively, it can be one of the best tools for bridging understanding and deepening relationships. However, when it is not addressed effectively it can inadvertently damage relationships. This session uses the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument to identify natural tendencies to the following approaches to conflict: Compete Avoid Compromise Accommodate Collaborate
One of the most challenging situations most managers face is addressing performance problems with staff. The desire is for the employee to feel good about the conversation but to also improve performance. This session addresses the key communication skills that are especially important when coaching someone. Then a 7-step process is provided which encourages the employee to feel empowered to change and motivated to improve. As a result, a stronger relationship is developed, and productivity is enhanced.
MASTERING YOUR TIME AND OTHER’S PERFORMANCE
Never at any other point in history have we had as much communication technology as we have today. With each text message, email or phone call, urgency increases. However, we need more discipline than ever to focus on the really important things. This session uses a Time Mastery Profile® to identify one’s personal time management strengths and challenges. Then it addresses any manager’s most important responsibility of helping others succeed. This is strategically achieved through an effective 3-step Performance Management process.
30 DAYS AFTER LAST CLASS: REINFORCEMENT SESSION 1
To maintain lasting learning, it is important to enhance accountability by reviewing actions taken and progress achieved. It is also important to regularly review key concepts to keep them fresh.
6 MONTHS AFTER LAST CLASS: REINFORCEMENT SESSION 2
At the 6-month mark, it is especially important to review key concepts from class. Participants will also have more experiences to share regarding how they have implemented what was learning in the program.
